Kangaroos in trees they’re not supposed to be in are amazing.

I didn’t know that there are kangaroos that live in trees. Scientists have found tree kangaroos a remote area in Indonesia. They say it’s one of only two sites where they’ve been found. Get this for ignorance: I didn't know that there were kangaroos outside of Australia. I seem to remember Australians claiming ownership over most if not all marsupials, in fact. WTF? So you've taught me two things today.

Also---now that I am thinking about their bodies--how do they get up there? They have really weird arms ...but I guess that also have long claws. Do they shimmy their way up there or do they just blast off into the trees with one gigantic bounce?! Learning is fun.

Maybe it's like what happened with Tigger. They bounced up, but they couldn't bounce down, and (unlike Tigger) they stayed in the treetops and bred and bred and bred.
