So when we got the townhouse, Brian dubbed me "interior decorator" and gave me leave to do whatever I want. So far, I haven't done anything, because I've been crazy busy, but as I think I might get a couple more free weekends coming up, I used this one to begin my search into decorating land. Okay. We must be reading minds again! I was thinking about what I would do to the townhouse "if" I ever get it back ;-) and I thought a "Miami" look would be fun - soft teal walls, but more to the blue than green, would look really pretty with the orange tile. The woodwork and doors would then have to be painted white semi-gloss because the peach would look yucky with teal. But taupe is good if that's what you like. You can throw teal pillows on your grey sofa. Do you need a teal table runner? I get tired of boring neutrals in all the houses I see in Colorado so I want color! :-) It's time for me to paint our house again this year, if I can ever find the time.

I spend way too much time watching HGTV, but I really like the taupe walls idea for your living room since it's such a big space. The other rooms, go for fun colors! (This from the girl with a bright yellow office and a blue-blue bathroom!) :-P Find colors that make you happy to look at, and hopefully make Brian happy too. Happy colors can make coming home a joy.
