This is a non-sense cartoon by gapingvoid. I think he doesn't know what atheism is. Its as simple as reading up the wikipedia article for Atheism.

I think what that gapinpvoid dude tries to covey (partly) is people attach so much meaning to something that comes naturally, i.e. disbelief in existence of deities, such that they often separate themselves from others.

as I said once, 'cult behavior' can be found in life's many activities. they spring out fundamentally from the 'ego'.
