The anti-trust case is called "YouTube". If you haven't read enough about YouTube being a bomb waiting to explode, read this article dated today.

YouTube is no anti-trust.
It's plain old copyright violation which they knew would be in the offing while taking on the mess. So I'm sure they have a good plan for it already.

Disable displaying your email-id anoopjm November 17 2006, 08:56:55 UTC
I think you can display the email id to 'myself'. i.e. primary email: @gmail.com (edit) ... besides that set it to 'myself' or 'friends' rather than to everyone and see if you have any luck. I am assuming that you tried to disable the Orkut and GTalk integration and it did not seem to work right ?

Yeah.. Orkut-GTalk integration and even Gmail-GTalk integration where people you frequently email get added to your IM friends' list.

They need to realize that any synchronous form of messaging is way more personal than asynchronous messaging.

Just how difficult is it to guess your/my prefixes to @gmail.com anyway? And it is disabled by default in my case.

No one is (yes, despite all the fast links to chat with me or call me thanks to Google), but I just don't like what they've done.
