Hey everyone :) Name's Kathleen, grew up in Jersey but I've gone to St. Louis University for the past 2 years and am looking into transferring to UMD this fall as either a junior or sophomore, depending on how my credits decide they want to transfer ( Read more... )

honestly, most people go home on the weekends. and the majority of the ones that do stay just stay here to get wasted. i work on the weekends and i find myself constantly battling the no parking spaces after work and going to sleep despite loud noises when i have to wake up at 5-7 am, depending on when i have to work ( ... )

i totally disagree! theres so much to do on campus. i haven't been home since spring break. if you join groups or greek life, you will definitly find yourself something to do. the campus is awesome, it's just about getting involved with the right people

Yeah, right. phr00tsnax April 16 2008, 14:52:10 UTC
Safe my ass. What about one of my sisters who got jumped and had money stolen off of her? Or one of my other sisters and a bunch of people getting their ass kicked for no reason? Or the kid that was held up at gunpoint outside Ivy? Or how about the kid that got stabbed in Woodlands a few weeks ago?

Does ANYONE pay attention to public safety warnings anymore?

(In other news, if you're going to live anywhere living in Woodlands is the lesser of all evils. The best option is to just get the hell off campus. They haven't opened up housing to transfer students yet, I don't think, so that's why the OP hasn't done so yet.)

I agree, but sometimes even having people with you doesn't mean you're going to be ok. This campus is just poorly set up. Too many dark areas, too few blue light phones, and an inadequate transportation service just makes for lots of opportunities for assholes to play. :P

Here's the deal. There's stuff to do on campus. Greek life is fun (I'm a Phi Sig) but is drama-prone. Haha. There's lots of clubs and SAIL has been working their buns off trying to get a lot of on-campus activities for everyone.. fun stuff, as well ( ... )
