Did some pruning and weeding today.

I mowed the lawn. Lawnmower almost didn't start. Something is wrong.

I thought one more day of chainsawing would get rid of the quezonia but it didn't. Grandma helped me throw off the sawed branches with her new Gator. We love the new Gator! I put stump killer on the remaining stumps and it does work. The stumps I did not put it on have sprouted so I sprayed them with round up. I am sure that one more day will ( Read more... )

I can't believe I edged the whole driveway! I was wiped out after blowing the driveway off. I also raked some heavy grass.

I did this yesterday. It was sunny so I did 3 tankfuls of round up along the road and rock wall. I raked some of the grass in the front and side yards. I also weeded some up along the highway ( Read more... )

We got back Monday night and were very tired. I had some intestinal problems I think relate to the spicy nacho we ate at the Miami airport. We didn't have any problems with the food we ate in Ecuador. I finally got over the gas thing and have now come down with a cold. I haven't had a cold in years. I mowed the lawn yesterday and hopefully will be able to mow it just before we leave. I have started packing.

We have a coqui frog pretty close and being very annoying. I would have looked for him last night but it was raining.

I transplanted some areca palms next to the fence on the other side of the gate. They sat there and did nothing for years and I was so anxious for them to grow up and hide the cars zooming down the highway. Well, they finally did and are now pushing against the fence. I cut down more quezonia and cleared the pagoda plants and ferm away from a bamboo that I had planted on the other side of the gulch. I did a little fertilizing.
