Office Hours [Thursday]

Those that took the chance of coming into Umbridge's office today would notice a few changes. One, she's had to light candles to get any kind of light into the office since her electricity seems to not be working. As of right now, she's blaming the continued and still exceptionally loud construction going on

And that would be Seely leaning in the doorway, an entirely too pleasant grin on his face.

Umbridge didn't look up. "This is not the time."

Seely ignored her and sauntered over to flop down in a chair. "Now, now, Dolores, don't be so inhospitable."

"I warn you now," she said, still not looking up, "that you're ignorance of the rules and my warnings will not end well for you."

Quite soon after Umbridge's door had opened, Aly could be found walking into the office. "Interesting ambience," she commented, needing just enough time to let the darkings slither off of the cuffs of her trousers and make their way to watch and wait.

That was a voice that was enough to immediately put Umbridge in an even more dour mood than before.

"Yes, I'm trying something new so I can put the students at ease before disciplining them severely," she said, almost sounding happy about that.

"I don't know," she smirked. "They might think you're trying to romance them, and that's a thought more horrifying than any punishment."

"Then, I'll just have to schedule more quillings due to your kind foresight," she said, looking up. "I'm sure the students will be delighted to bleed for their dear teacher."

When Gavin woke up this morning and still saw the scars on his hand way too prominently, he decided to go ask the source if these things would ever go away.

That was his excuse anyway. He stood at the entrance to the door and stared at Umbridge.

Looking up with obvious disinterest in her eyes, Umbridge asked, "What is it? Are you lost?"

"I have a question," Gavin said, taking a step inside. "It will only take a moment."

"I don't have time for inane questions," she snapped. And then calmed, remembering the previous visitor. "But I can make time for you. Have a seat."

"You should feel lucky my day ended well," Umbridge said. "And won't be judged by the start of the day."

With only a small amount of trepidation, Faile approached Umbridge's office and knocked politely.

"Come inside," Umbridge said, not looking up from her parchment.

Faile entered and stood behind one of the chairs. "Good afternoon, Headmaster. Is that correct?" she asked courteously. "Or is Madam High Inquisitor more correct now?"

"Either title is fine," she said pleasantly, looking up. "The second one would be my preference."
