*Link manages to nose into a fluffy white cat. She says something about the waterway. The best entry point is to climb through the window and onto the inner ledges of Telma's tavern.
The cat, Louise, fluffs her tail and sits on the stone steps by the wrought iron fence to watch for people.
Link looks over his shoulder at Midna and flicks an ear. Is she ready for a bit of jumping around?*
*Link noses a crate over to the wall, jumps up, and scrambles through the window. Almost immediately, he knocks a pot over onto the floor from the ledge. It shatters near a Goron who starts looking around for the source of the disturbance.
Link crouches close to the ledge and belly-crawls around the pots, sometimes even gently pawing across cords strung between the ledges. On holidays, tapestries were hung from them but it was a miracle that nobody looked up.
He finally makes it up onto a roof and looks out towards Hyrule Castle. Not too far, now, as long as he can remain a pawstep ahead of the avians.*
*Midna drifts in and out of consciousness as she and Link make their way to the roof. She knows they are close to the castle. And she knows Zelda is there.
She also knows that the path to the castle will most likely be filled with emissaries of sorts, though she does not have the strength to share this with Link.*
*Midna gasps in pain as she is thrown onto the wet roof tiles. Her small body, already throbbing with the aftereffects of Zant's shadow magic, is rapidly losing dexterity. Even more so, Midna's will is starting to diminish. She does not bother calling out to Link, or even trying to push herself up.*

The shock sends him reeling back out into the alleyway and he bristles as the Hylians slam the door shut with a note of finality.*
