I'm writing this out of suggestion from a friend, from a friend who I've come to trust with a lot more than simple advice as of late. There's a lot that's happened to me since my last update and I don't honestly know if I get it down with any coherence. But I'll try. Why not, right ( Read more... )

This is gonna sound...well, it's gonna sound like it's not helpful at all. I've been waiting eighteen years for mine, and still nothing. I know what it feels like, and for me it's just a test of faith. God has told me that He's gonna teach me to trust Him before giving someone for me to trust and love here on earth. Annoying? Yes. Worthwhile? Yes.

As Christians, we're all called to something higher. We're all called to live by a higher standard and to spread the gospel with our lives on the line. Our great command is to go (and then to make disciples, baptize them, and teach them along the way). Obedience to God is where that part of us is satisfied (so easy to say...).
