I think it's funny that I always make a point of reading what new entries come up, but I never update anything myself. I've decided that someday, if I continue research, I would like to have a finite Erdos number. It sounds really dorky, but even people in the social sciences have them now. Surely a crazy hybrid of academia such as myself could someday acquire one. I guess I'll have to hope I have opportunities to collaborate on papers in the future.

Thanksgiving came again this year. Things went well. I've enjoyed being home for a few days (minus a little trip back to Lowell to do a ridiculously short parade). It rained, and the various local channels were predicting dismal amounts of rain, so I decided not to go to the football game. I got to sleep in. Thanksgiving dinner itself was good. I'm about ten pages from the end of a great book--it's short, but takes awhile to read because you need to take time to digest it. Nevertheless, I highly recommend it: Foundations of the Christian Religion, by Blaise Pascal. Pascal as in the Pascal triangle, the guy that the programming language was named for, the mathematician.
