Last semester, I was taking two writing courses and I didn't have time to do a lot of my own, personal writing. During the summer, I was working on research so I didn't have a lot of time to dedicate to my own writing. I didn't even want to get out of bed this morning. It's hard since I don't have anything scheduled today until 1, so I would love to be able to sleep in indefinitely. One week of UML done. Sort of. It's Friday, and I have dinner, marching band, and then I'm going out for a bit. It's been a really interesting day. So, I'm back here at UML for my last undergraduate semester. It's sort of a scary thought, but I'm not too worried about it. I have two professors that have agreed to write letters of recommendation for me, and I have one more that probably will if I ask really nicely. I've returned from band camp. The damages: my right foot is swollen a bit and hurts like hammers smashing it when I put weight on it or flex it. It wasn't as bad this morning, but of course our block exercises had to include doing some backwards movements which really irritated it. I can't believe how little time I have left. I have a few hours of work tomorrow and then I have to pack for band camp. I have that for a week, then I'm going to a thing with my mom's side of the family on Sunday. After that, three days of work, one day of packing, then I'm off to the leadership retreat. Band camp at UML is next week. It's kind of hard to believe. It will be the last year that I'm doing marching band. Theoretically, I could do it in grad school, but I really think I'm done. I'm back from SoulFest. It was an interesting few days. Unfortunately, I've returned with a bit of a cold or something--I'll credit that to a few factors including camping, air pressure changes, a lot of campfires that people had at night, and forgetting a sweatshirt one night and being kind of cold for some concerts.
