So I wasn't feeling too well earlier... well actually yesterday (God time goes by quickly)... so I forgot to wish everyone a HAPPY DECEMBER!!! I wish I had one of those calenders with the days and the chocolate and the fun. What happened to those? Have the kids these days become too cool for school and Christmas (Holiday Season) chocolate

p.s. speaking of chocolate, I like ice cream. AND... when I got home, I forgot to put it in the freezer. I AM SUCH A FOOL. When I left your house, I remember thinking "I'd better remember to put the ice cream in the freezer.... oh I'll remember!"... BUT NO. Because it was in my backpack and all. I realized after two hours. It's still good, it's still good!

You should tell Dina that the classes have been so good. I'm pretty sure that that's the kind of stuff they like hearing. I know if I worked hard to put together a class, it'd be good to know that someone enjoyed it.

I'm a big believer in all that "a kind word can brighten someone's day" hippy crap, so yeah. You should tell her. Email her or something - after marks are in if it makes you feel better (me I'm always paranoid they'll think I'm trying to kiss ass!)

I liked 310 - feel like it left me with more questions than answers, but a lot of things have been doing that for me lately. Just gives me more to say...hopefully. :)

I *heart* kind words... they make me smile!!! :) But I'm also paranoid about the "seeming like a suck-up" thing... that's why I don't do/say a lot of the stuff I want to. But I like your idea about the email thing... after marks.

I have more questions too, but I feel I'm more comfortable with questions now. Before 310, I was so anxious about finding the right answers. Oh, also I learned how to pronounce "diaspora"... so this class was all kinds of helpful!!

haha - I have huge problems with the "seeming like a suck up" thing, so I totally get you. Before I started fourth year, I finally told one of my profs that she was the reason that I was still at Queen's and that I was pretty much forever grateful to her for the impact she had had on my life. It was really nerve wracking for me to say it, but I knew it was important for me to say it, and hopefully it brightened her day to hear it. :)

It's kind of like sociology - there are no right answers! Just questions, questions...and more questions!

Diaspora still throws me. Good thing? Bad thing? I've always learned/assumed 'bad thing...bad!' but then when I was reading Hejira and looking at the course outline to see what we were talking about, I was sort of like...'okay, can it be a good thing?'. And then I talked about completely random nothingness in my response. Hooray!
