idk, some time after she comes back? rockinthrutime August 25 2010, 20:53:51 UTC
Bob was waiting for her, in Blacky's own dorm.

Blacky didn't notice Bob at first; she turned the lights on, closed the door, leaned on it and put her hands over her face, sighing deeply. And then she smelled that someone else had been in the room recently. And was still there.

No doubt she knew everything that happened in Kanto. Blacky crossed her arms and looked away.

"...So?"

"Why didn't you bring your child here with you? I am sure Nancy would be more than happy to take care of it with you." Bob didn't move from her position in bed.

The night after Bobtalks happen. Yeah. betterthanawiki August 25 2010, 23:41:26 UTC
Most people would have considered it rude to stop by so late. Uxie, however, had a feeling that Blacky would be slightly more appreciative of company during an hour that better meshed with her internal clock.

He could have broken in. He could have simpy teleported. But goodness... that would be even ruder, wouldn't it? Blacky probably didn't want another legendary being just appearing in home uninvited, anyway.

Thus, he decided it would be best to knock first. Blacky just might have detected a soft tapping at her window, where a tiny figure hovered, silhouetted in the light of the nearly-full moon.

Uxie took a seat on the windowsill, curling his tails around his body. "I would hardly call it unexpected, dear Blacky." Certainly not after so many interesting things had happened. "You've been through quite a lot, after all; I felt that perhaps you could use a sympathetic ear. You don't mind if I come in, do you?"

And having said that, he held out his arms, like a child demanding to be picked up.

Hot damn I am well on my way to legendary status umbreon_blacky August 26 2010, 00:21:16 UTC
That gesture... It was like he knew he was appealing to her unsatisfied maternal instincts. He was using his appearance to his advantage, a trick Blacky knew well. But here she was, falling for it. Maybe she did need something small and huggable to talk to. Someone who just might be able to pretend to agree with her point of view, since nobody else was.

She picked him up and held him to her shoulder like a baby. The air coming from outside was cool, but not too chilly, so she decided to leave the window open before heading back to the futon.

"Hmmmh," she sighed as she sat down, still cradling Uxie. "It's awfully kind of you to lend your ear this late at night. I'm sure you know all about what happened last week, hm?"

This entire charade got out of hand real fast. Despite everything that happened in the past week, despite being on the receiving end of a dark pulse attach not once, but twice now, Raiden understood why she did what she did. He wasn't sure anymore if he agreed with it or not, whether it was right or not, but he didn't come here to lecture her.

She had gone missing over the weekend, and that was concerning. He drove around in his scratched-up car with the floral seat covers for hours aimlessly, looking for her knowing she probably didn't want to be found. But at last, he did find her in a ditch at the ice cream store in his pants in the school's parking lot at night. How the hell did he miss that?

"I've been looking for you."

She actually was in his pants the whole time She'd been looking for him too. Seeing an empty stall where his car should have been always left a queasy feeling in her stomach, even if there'd been no real reason to worry since May. But now that he was here... what did she want to say to him? She didn't want to go fishing for pity. Things were different now than they'd been a year ago; she wasn't about to go getting drunk on the roof and begging for his attention.

She also wasn't going to stick around and let him lecture her, if that's what he came here for. He damn well better not have.

She offered an uneasy smile. "Jack. Ah... I went home for a few days. I suppose I should have let you know first." But you left without warning once too. I'm not obligated to tell you everything. You're not my trainer.

It would have been nice. "I figured as much." It didn't take a lot to figure out she would have went one of a few places, especially now that her brother was back...

He leaned over and opened the passenger door for her. "Did it help any?"

"I don't know..."

Normally she would have been very reluctant to get in such a banged-up car with ugly seat covers, but she didn't care tonight. It wasn't like anyone else was around, to see it.

"I don't know," she repeated, closing the door and slumping in her seat. "I told him what I did and thought he'd be proud, but he... Rejected me. He wouldn't talk to me for the rest of the time I was there. There's no life in his eyes. He doesn't have any drive to do anything, he hasn't left the house since he got back, I don't... I don't know what I'm supposed to do. If staying there or coming back was the better choice."

She pressed her feet against the dashboard, curling into a tight ball. "Being here means having to see his smug little face alive and well, knowing Golduck is so... broken. Being there means having to see Golduck as he is, knowing that bastard is alive and well over here."

SOMETIME BUT I DON'T KNOW WHAT TIME AND I DON'T KNOW WHERE boxingmidget August 27 2010, 02:24:41 UTC
Suddenly, a concerned boxer/student. Talking with Giovanni still left a bad taste in his mouth. For many reasons. He doesn't normally get that angry with someone and still thinking about the things he said didn't sit well at all. But that wasn't on his mind right now, his mind was set on his psychologically teacher. He felt far worse for her right now and the fact that he didn't know her that well just intensified the worry. Mac never cared about how much he knew someone when he was trying to help that said someone. He never did. People might say he's too nice or too trusting, but he couldn't care less. Fact of the matter is, he's just a guy who always wants to stick his neck out for people. But it worried him this time because he had no idea how he was going to cheer Blacky up, and he probably still won't. But maybe he could just explain himself...and just hope something good happens.

He didn't know she left and things just got worse. And since his talk with Giovanni, he had hoped to find her sometime. And now he finally did at ( ... )

ONE DAY BLACKY FREEMAN WAS AN OFFICE umbreon_blacky August 27 2010, 02:33:49 UTC
At the time, Blacky had been in her office, going over a bit of paperwork. Or pretending to, anyway. Her mind was clearly elsewhere, and she found herself reading over the same sentences again and again before she even realized it. She was almost glad for the excuse not to have to do it when she heard Mac's voice just outside her door.

"Ah... Hello, Mac. Did you need anything?" She hid the paperwork in a drawer, half-expecting the student to be coming to her with a homework-related question, and gestured to the simple chair on the other side of her desk. She still hadn't replaced the couch Fawful and Iggy burnt to a crisp a while ago. "Have a seat."

The air felt weird. It felt as weird as it did to look at that couch...what the hell. Not the time. He took a seat like he was said to. He didn't want to drop the bomb on her yet, because he couldn't know how Blacky would react to it. Admittedly to himself, he was terrified. He was terrified that he would unintentionally hurt her. Or that she would judge Mac before he got to the depth of his concern...and she was his teacher so he'd have to live through it everyday if he upset her anymore than she already was.

"Uh, well not really...Don't really need nothin' I just..." he seemed to stutter. "Y'see I..." Gulp, here goes. He got this far. "...I heard what happened that day and I got worried..."

(She'd get rid of that couch one day. Probably by making Raiden do all the lifting.)

"...I see." While she was hoping nothing like this would come up, she was, on the whole, unsurprised. News of such drama tended to spread through the school like wildfire. She spread her hands, offering a small smile. "Your concern is sweet, but there's no need to worry. I'll make no move toward having anything like that happen again."

Whether or not Giovanni planned to attack her, directly or not... well, that remained to be seen.
