Yup, criminal defence. About 5 years from my call to the bar now.

And actually, Iain was never gone. Alan Landis was kidnapped by Sabbat in Winnipeg. I suspect he was brought back as an NPC Sabbat member and killed by the court, but the STs don't play anymore and no one remembers after so long, so when my Tremere (Victor Marselos) died, I got talked into playing Alan again. He was 'recovered' in Winnipeg, having been staked and stuck in a closet, and they figure the sabbat had been killed and never came back to do whatever nastiness to him was supposed to happen.

I've been happily playing my Tremere in the meantime.
