We officially ran out of bread today. Only thing we can make are donuts since the glazer has it's own little oven. And even then, some donuts are better off not making without being able to go through the rack oven.
Ouch good luck with that. Do you deal directly with customers at all? I spent most of Sunday explaining to seniors that we no longer do a senior discount of 10% but will give them free coffee instead.
I don't very often. I mostly just hide in my little donut corner and make/glaze/frost donuts all shift. I'll run into people from time to time when I'm out by the case, but the ladies that stock the floor and cake decorators tend to have the most customer interaction.
On one hand it's kinda nice because, for the most part, what I do is completely independent of how busy or slow the store is that day. If we run out of donuts for the day, we're out for the day (with a few exceptions of special orders that we can swing at the last minute).
