I'm a city girl who hates biting bugs, dark places (especially outdoors), disorientation, and people who haven't seen let alone met and befriended a person of color. I guess I'm a control freak or afraid of living anywhere Near a place where a person could be dragged, lynched or shot because of xenophobia. That's why I'm desperate for a place that still has neighborhoods. I grew up in one, even when I lived in the projects in Boston there was a sense of togetherness.
