One of my courses here is an ancient literature class. We've been studying pieces spanning the 4th century to the 16th. It's interesting to study works that are so old. Today we talked about the "religious war" between the Protestants and the Catholics that took place in the 16th century. Now, I'm not terribly religious, but we read a passage from ( Read more... )

Oh god...not to sound like a total bitch (because I know how it is to crave something, I'm like the queen of cravings), but today is Dunkin Donuts free iced coffee day! I'm going with Naseer and we're going to hit the one across from Stop and Shop in Narragansett, then walk on the beach. If I don't have to pee WICKED bad by that point, I plan on taking 1A home and stopping at the one in Bonnet as well. As for the good old Corinthians...I can't tell you how many times I've heard that thing at this point. Every SINGLE wedding I've played at has read that, I swear. "And now so-and-so, the such-and-such of the bride/groom, will read a verse from the Corinthians." And they waltz up to the front and blast us all away by speaking to close to the mic. I already know it's free iced coffee day; three people have told me. Thanks a LOT, Lydia. Thanks for ruining my week.

...just kidding. I love you.

And ZOMGLOL @ the Corinthians interpretation. "...it is not easily anget." Ah, I miss Rhode Island. And the ONLY reason I miss the Warwick accent is because it just cracks me up. Aside from the humor of it, it's wicked annoying.

Said by a true Rhode Islander, as I say "wicked" at least once every! single! day.

Remember that movie "A Walk To Remember?" ... i'm not religious either but when I heard that verse in that movie I loved it and cried cried cried. I also found out that Mr and Mrs. Corey's wedding vows have that incorporated into them. *sigh* I love, love! If only all those things were treu ALL the time. Because I know that sometimes i'm not patient and sometimes I "keep record of wrongs" ... but who doesnt? Honestly!
