Hi there.

I'm sorry to dissapoint you, but house lights will do nothing for you when it comes to SAD. If you want light therapy, you'll need to invest in a lightbox which mimicks, at least partially, the light of the sun, and basically sit in front of it for one to two hours (depending on the intensity). You don't need to be looking at it directly, but it has to be shining in your eyes. (you can be at the computer, reading, watching tv, whatever.)

Prozac is good too. Took it during Winter for a couple of years, but sort of got tired of getting prescriptions, etc.

I sort of solved the problem by getting a house with skylights, and going outside everytime its remotely sunny. And not wearing sunglassed while I'm here at the UK. You also get used to the lack of light, if thats any confort at all.

You can be pretty sure that the desire to just eat and sleep comes from SAD. Thank the gods we're almost in March..

Good luck for you, you seem like a really nice person and I feel your pain :)
