there are so many great musicals out there, don't limit yourself to just those three if you want to find another play.

well, seee. Urinetown is what winer is planning on doing next year. Wicked is one of my favorite musicals (to listen to) and Ari really wants to do it. Zanna don't is another of my favorite musicals that Ari also really wants to do that i think would be a lot of fun in as a highschool production.

So you see, it's not really that i'm limited, i'm choosing, it's different.

i don't know Damn Yankees, so i couldn't say.

a big factor in why i want to do Wicked for the set potential. I mean, you COULD do an amazing set for any production, but all the pictures for the wicked set are amazing.
of course we don't have the budget ANYWAYS so i dunno.

i'm sorry. i need to figure out this 3 penny as well.

See this is the problem you need to break out of...DON'T look at the set for Wicked and say "Huh I'd like to do that." In fact, don't look at pictures of a play you're doing at all. It only ruins the pictures in your head. Honestly, people conciously live by these rules.

Also, did you ever see Wicked? Yes it's gorgeous, but it's also way over-designed. Too much flash.

Threepenny Opera is by Brecht, who's catch word is alienation (of the audience). I'm curious about his work in performance, because it sounds weird....he used all sorts of shit to purposefully keep the audience detached from the action. Anyways, yeah. The New Yorker hated this production and had really good reasons why, so we'll see. It has Alan Cumming in it though. Yay!
