Also, even one 'lol' would do it for me. That's for chatting purposes, and personally, I won't even use it then. But if you are going to use it, use it properly!

my thinking goes, one is, these days, expected. two is acceptable, because sometimes in a person's exuberance to write a good self-summary, they get nervous and forget certain filters. more than that though, there's just no excuse.

hahaha YES! Those are totally appropriate rules. I actually go by the same set of rules.

I loved, loved, loved your writing sample. If you posted this without saying what it was I would ask what the book was and who it was by because I'd want to check it out. Usually when people post their sample writing on here I can't get past the first paragraph without drifting away from what I'm reading but yours kept me there with the way you write. I hope you continue to work on it and if you ever need a second set of eyes or want feedback I'd be happy to!

aww, but "partner in crime" is one of the best cliches out there! it means he's a fun-loving rabble-rouser who likes to talk about (note: as opposed to actually doing it) being mischevious!

or, roughly translated, every local guy between the ages of 24 and 40! cuz before 24 they're still looking for "mad honeys". :D
