My Lady Strange & Mr Ohno, session 5, part 1 mmestrange June 4 2009, 11:23:55 UTC
It did not take her ladyship long to arrive at the surface, but finding one ‘Satoshi-papa’ was a troublesome enterprise. When she did locate him, Lady Strange was in a rare temper and heavily scowling. Landing on the boat with light steps, she cast a cursory glance around and noticed a flustered Ohno turning this way and that as though uncertain of what he should do ( ... )

“What do you mean, sensei?” he cried out, looking as distraught as he sounded. “Ayumu could be drowning.”

“Drowned corpses only float after decomposition has set in.” She flicked out her fingers nonchalantly in an elegant gesture before reaching for some fishing line and winding it around a rod. “I wouldn’t worry too much about him at the moment ( ... )

“What kind of deception?” he heaved a breath in an undignified fashion.

“The kind of deception involving a facsimile of you living with Mr Ninomiya. The kind of deception that involved a facsimile of Mr Matsumoto kissing your carbon copy. The kind of deception that you allowed to happen because you walked away from the truth,” she hissed unrelentingly, tightening the hair around him so much so that Ohno was almost puce in the face.

“I didn’t let anything happen. I just don’t do anything,” he gasped before the hair wound around his throat again and tightened its tentacle-like grip around his neck.

“Precisely,” she hissed smoothly, wrapping her locks around him and wringing him like she would wet laundry. “You did not do a single thing. That’s why this deception is as deep and as wide as the ocean. That’s why they fishes don’t bite, my good man. You let the deception happen and it’s everywhere, pervading into everything.” She paused to snigger sardonically as the hair whipped Ohno towards her in a strange cocoon of raven black ( ... )

Oh poor Ohno, forced to think. And what a dangerous pastime it is!

This therapy session is beginning to get painful and uncomfortable for Ohno. I love it. Of course Ohno would have to ask all the wrong questions and get Lady Strange all worked up. Hell, I have people doing that to me at work all the time, much to my annoyance. Seemingly correlated, seemingly logical, but in fact, could not be farther from the truth. I hate those bastards! *kicks them in the shins* But getting back to our father and son...Who is the true Apatosaurus? *smirks* I want to make a footnote and just refer everyone to this segment.

On AibaI’ve noticed a habit of Aiba’s. He tends to tug at the bandages and poke at his bandaged wounds whenever he thinks that he’s doing something wrong by Sho. Within Chapter 11, we have two instances of this, namely (a) when he hears muffled sounds of sex and he pokes at his wounds thinking of Sho, and (b) when Fa-nine offers him some ‘ass’, he pokes at his wounds again thinking about Sho and how he can’t possibly betray him. This happened in an earlier chapter when Sho pleads with Aiba not to go out. Once again, Aiba prods at his own wounds ( ... )

Aiba the man of a thousand contradictions on a single thread of insecurity. For our purposes, let's just say that there were many times and many things that happened in the Sakuraiba past (and will happen in the Sakuraiba future), some of which will be brought up, that should give Aiba more than enough reason to dump Sho and move on with his life, but...! Well, you know how dependent relationships go as they drown each other while madly professing their love for one another... Meh ( ... )

Ah...Aiba and his insecurities... Maybe I should take him out for something to eat in our next therapy session. You know, Sho and Aiba have a codependent relationship, a dangerous thing to have especially since one side is obviously needier than the other.

The pun over "Tiny" is wonderful. It was one of the highlights of this chapter, other than Jun's self-blame (which is my favourite of his reflection series so far). I do expect the garrulous Tiny to say something. You've practically set things up for that, as indicated above.

Ah ha! I knew Jersey was important! Vindication! *bwahaha* Must figure out all about Jersey

On the whole Fa-Nine fandangoFa-nine seems to be pleasant sort of fellow and a capable businessman. He knows it’s business before pleasure, and he gets everything in order when a ‘request’ for his services comes in. That is admirable for someone in his line. His business acumen is wonderful because he knows how to treat his clients by giving the regulars a little extra ( ... )

Fa-nine does trust Aiba. I'd say it's like a soft spot for M. Aiba. But *certain* aspects just cannot be revealed in front of our emo bunny at this particular moment(but will most likely be revealed by one loose-lipped Tiny eventually).

To answer the question of Fa-nine and Co., I would say it's more (3) than (2), but more (1) than (3).

Tony-sensei is not really as important. He's got a minor role planned so far, but the real support for Sho's character is Mikeila. She and her flower tarot cards will give us many excuses to use the language of flowers to hide meaning be most telling of Sho ( ... )

If Jersey is who I think it is, then I need to bring out the whips and cat-o-nine-tails among other things. Tsk tsk, hiding things from me, that bugger! Heh... I knew you didn't include the whole Fa-nine and Tiny exchange for nothing even if M. Aiba is being more arsely than usual.

Ha! I look forward to Sho mental torture via Mikeila's floral tarot cards - definitely one of your minions from your circle of hell. heh heh.

I'm fond of Ayu in a detached manner, and as i've said in a previous review, the lad does see more than he lets on.

Well, JunJun has Miyazono who will hopefully knock sense into him, and if worse comes to worse, I could prod him with iron pokers and whatnot

So anyone who wants to know the significance of PwC should refer to Lady Strange's commentary because yes, there was a reason why I chose that particular foreign company to have certain relations with our favorite jimusho. Your questions to be answered all in good time, my lovely sensei ( ... )

The PwC and the cooking of Kanebo's books was a big thing. I remember discussing it with some of my friends back in 2006 when it occurred. Mah, the problem of being the sensei is that I think and analyse everything. No wonder people say I look like I'm "really out of things", too much thinking all the time.

Oh, the outline and breakdown methodology is something I use whenever I write on the whiteboard before beginning my lectures. Anything is possible with research, some reflection, and some joining of the dots. Et voila! We maximise the pain on dear M. Sakurai.

Aiba in M. Sakurai's past eh... Hmmm, does have anything to do with the fact that Aiba may be waking up that he's caught like a moth in a net and refuses to escape even though he's given a chance to.

Oh! I like the carnivorous plant feeding off M. Sakurai's blood and innards. Heh. Sho doesn't know what he has in store for him. I might appropriate that mode of torture in the next therapy session...
