In previous section, I discussed the significance of why the contract was conjured and signed in 2009. I also spent some time analysing pages 01-17 of the contract. This section of the commentary covers the remaining pages of the contract in detail. Pages 18-25 are a headache to dissect, so bear with me and don’t blink. Haineko has a lot of blink-and-miss and very sly insertions all over the place, and it would behove [Br. Eng spelling, don’t quibble] you to read whatever she writes slowly and carefully. There is no wasted word in her writing. She is a kind writer because she leaves you clues and Chekov’s guns all over place and it is up to you to join the dots. Those of you (if any) who do manage to go through my commentaries without thinking that I’m a lunatic show off and without thinking ‘tl;dr’ would have realised I cover things you should be looking at when reading Haineko’s work.

Now that that’s done, let us move on to the second half of the terms of the contract.

That is how the mysterious person dispatched the prophecy to Jun. Coincidence, you say? Well, 7 is the number of consciousness and of thought. The person who sent Jun the prophecy consciously did so and was thinking a great deal when he/she/it sent the prophecy in such a way that there was minimal contact between Jun and him/her/it. Yet, Jun consciously put aside the prophecy and anything to do with the 2009 Contract refusing to countenance it.

Clause Nine states ‘to protect the interests of the jimusho, any suspicious activity involving current members of the jimusho or staff may result in legal action’. 9 is the number representing the highest degree of change. The fact that the jimusho will sue if it regards something the former Arashi members do as ‘suspicious behaviour’ paints the place as an institution resistant to change. But if the former members of Arashi play their cards right, they can be like the number 9 and bring about the highest degree of change. This links up to the rhetorical question Miyazono posed as to where ( ... )

Permit me to interrupt my commentary at this point with a few questions germane to the issue:

(27) Does Jun know that Nino disappeared for 2 years after the 2009 contract came into effect? Has Jun even noticed?
- Yes, the deal is Jun+Ohno will disappear for 13 years and the careers of Nino, Aiba and Sho will go on. But Nino’s went under for two years while Aiba and Sho suffered no such setback. Surely, Jun would have noticed that there was NOTHING on telly, radio, film, or printed media about Nino for two years AFTER the 2009 contract was signed. Suddenly after two years, Nino came back. Isn’t that dodgy? Didn’t Jun think that was dodgy?
- Or didn’t Jun notice?
- If Nino disappeared for 2 years after the 2009 contract was signed even though the terms were that Nino ALONG WITH Sho and Aiba could have their careers so long as Jun+Ohno went under, isn’t that a breach of the contract Jun and Ohno signed?

13 year silenceCareful readers will know that it is no coincidence 13 years silence is extracted from Jun + Ohno. Iago says it’s ( ... )

With this then, the significance of the number 13 between Iago and Arashi becomes clear. Having discussed the bulk of the contract let us move on the last five pages of the contract.

LAST FIVE PAGES OF THE 2009 CONTRACTHaineko deliberately let us know that we are the last five pages of the contract. She specifically draws our attention by having both Jun and Miyazono refer to pages 26-30 as “the last five pages ( ... )

Sick in the mind? I have corrupted your mind? Wunderbar! And what is this? You speak of my work with your friends? Non-Arashi/non-Juntoshi fans? Oh do go on. I am weak for such flattery.

Actually, your comment couldn't have come at a better time. I was actually just about to get ready to update today...How fortunate you are that you got what you asked for. Most of my other readers, I wonder if they are still there have had to wait over a month for this new installment. You can read chapter 18. It is up and running.
