Am I alone in being split on the issue of change? Part of me wants to change more than anything but the other part wants to just leave things alone and let them stay as they are. Even though this change would be for the better there is still the conflict and I don't even know why that is. I suppose it something like what I felt after RIT was

I assume yourself because I've been there and know exactly what you're talking about. What I've found is you can't and shouldn't try to force yourself to change for the sake of changing. The idea that 'Things will be better if I just do this' doesn't work for anything truly deep. You can change your habits (ie if you smoke, or are lazy, or unreliable... things you are NONE of) and whatnot, but you can't force yourself to change yourself. Your core.
That happens by itself.
However, you can't try to STOP yourself from changing because it is frightening. It is a natural thing.. you grow and evolve. Don't hold it back because you are afraid of what you might become. You're a good dude and nothing bad is going to come from your natural growth. You determine the path you want to walk on, God will guide you through it so long as you let him.
