I finally wrote a new song.

"Let’s promise that we won’t bring our worst to the plate. If dishes can ruin friendships - there can’t be much good left in this game. In the meantime, I think that we should take a break. We’ll take off on our bikes - when we’re finding air to breathe we’ll find our way. We can meet up in the middle of the world. I can decide how much I still ( Read more... )

It was inspired by the song "Fallow" - which Rob quoted to me recently in an e-mail. But it's about my life, and it's to a different tune - although they're similar songs. For some reason, I had never listened to Fallow, even though I have the album. I guess it's because it's the last song on there.

Also, this is another one I wrote a while ago that I actually like.

"when there is so much to do that there is no time for living - when everything is kept secret except the things you read, there is always something new to seek, but no one left to be. If we can live inside the silhouettes of the things we want to see we are free from being something tangible there is simply no real need. on the ancient blocks that we walk across until unconscious on our feet - to cut a path through the dusty wake that the living dead do leave, if we find all of the spaces that they don't seem to see and their broken twigs that we collect to ignite under their feet. we know that we will likely die before this meets its end - if you lift me as I lift you, I will be with you if or when. if hope is just not knowing and thereby forcing it to be, if what we choose to say and do is who we really seem, these half-assed broken records that we keep - try to remember to just get enough sleep."
