First of all Happy (belated) New Year! I've been meaning to post for awhile but have been distracted with RL. I spent most of the day sleeping and battling a cold (::cough::and possibly crying over Merlin fanvids ::cough::)
I love, love, love Sungkyunkwan Scandal. I'm more a canon shipper for this myself but I get where you're coming from slashing the boys;) SKKS had one of the most adorable love confessing scenes ever. The scene in the library with all the "letters" was not only the cutest ever but for me as a bibliophile it was sheer perfection:)
I read you're interested in historical dramas. I'm more shallow and prefer the classical love dramas. But SKKS was both so...
LOL, I started watching Korean dramas with Full House and then Mianhada, Saranganda (I'm Sorry I love You) and so on about a decade ago (eek! has it been that long?!) so I love classic love stories as well :)
But yeah, these days if I get the time, its more about actors I love or the screenwriters.
And SKKS did have a cute love confessing scene. It's kind of funny really, I almost always ship the main canon pairing too---SKKS is an oddity for me. (Though I think part of it is b/c I adore Song Joong-Ki and Yoo Ah-In and don't particularly care for Yoochun?)
My love for dramas comes and goes in waves. It can lay in a corner and hide but as soon as I find a drama I love I'm all fangirl again. But it's less in the last couple of years than it used to be. After going through all the dramas I watched I can say that I tend more to korean dramas in general. Maybe because they're a little more open or fluffy or because we at least get a kiss in the end. Sorry but when I anicipate a happy ending over 20 episodes and the main characters aren't even allowed to touch I'm not a happy fangirl. No matter how appropriate it is in asian culture or not...
Last thing I watched and was kind of obsessed with was Lee Soon Shin is the best which was a little too much sometimes but hey... which drama isn't?!
Right now I rewatch K2Heart because I just love it:)
