A close shave...
Have just returned from dropping himself off at the airport. You'll all be glad to hear that he doesn't seem to have forgotten anything (detailed lists were written and marked off as we packed) and the missing toiletries were found (behind the mop bucket, bizarrely). Check in closed at 11.30 and we had a chilled morning doing the Guardian quiz

That's one of those things where you want the good brand to begin with, or you end up spending more to replace things more frequently. (That's a lesson I learned the hard way with kids' backpacks for school, but I'm pleased to say that once I learned it, the packs have lasted 3 years or more and are still going strong enough that I'm not worried about replacing them anytime soon.)
