Yes, that was how he chose to greet Jak. It was a thing.
Odds were that he was going to just end up riding whatever drunken daze he could pick up from the other people in the bar anyway.
Jak seemed to have roughly that idea, and shrugged. Chances were he was never going to catch on to the 'Jono doesn't drink' thing in any way that related to the sentences coming out of his mouth, anyway. "Grab a drink, grab other people's heads while they're drinking..." he said, shrugging. "Start with 'grab a seat', I guess."
//Well, that much, I can do without protest,// Jono replied, grabbing himself a spot at the bar with a nod. //Been keeping busy, mate? Things back on the island aren't quite th'same with you gone.//
They weren't quite the same without a few people of note, really. But odds were low that Jak had invited him just so that he could make sad faces over a mug of something that he couldn't drink.
"Yeah. Things are kind of kicking into overdrive," Jak said, waving his own bottle of something-or-other - tasted like swamp water - around. "It's been a quiet afternoon, which means it's a fifty-fifty chance something's about to bite us in the ass."
Sound slightly less eager about that, Jak, please.
