Oh man, thanks even for thinking about coming. It was a good show, and I think most people liked it, even though some were a little baffled, haha. And thanks on the dress. Believe it or not, it was an old bridesmaid dress that I kept waiting to find a use for. Finally found one, haha!
Oh, and re: MET Opera Chorus. Many years ago my mom did it, and she loved every minute of it! She had a riot with the other Chorus-ters and the cast! The stories are legendary, particularly the ones with the cast of Aida... Do it, if you can! You'll love the experience...
Yep! Many years ago. My Dad still tells the story of his first real "date" with her. He came up to my Grandparents house and rang the bell, my mom answered the door and the cat took advantage of the opportunity of the screen door being open and escaped out and ran down the walk.
MY mom suddenly yelled out "STOP RIGHT THERE!" 'cause he wasn't allowed outside and the poor cat just froze right there in a catatonic state! My dad said he had never heard anything so loud come out of a human being ever in his life! (My mom could really project...)
My mom just walked down and picked the cat up, still frozen in a running position and carried it back into the house, stiff as a board. He said it took about 10 minutes to bring the cat out of it!
I learned very early in life not to get my mom too upset...
