So to contrast all the be-bop I've been working on, tonight I spent about 5 hours working on upper structure voicings, and transfering upper structure ideas into my solo lines, so I guess you could say that I'm bop-ifying them. ...at least as far as theory goes. I've read each of these cover to cover many many times. Thats why I know stuff. As far as actual music literature goes, just listen listen listen, I'm sure your school has a music library. Check out music, and check out scores, and read along with them while you listen to the music.
