WHAT I didn't know you hadn't read that, OMG. Gringoire is made of awesome, and I am so pleased you like Notre Dame de Paris. Garou has the most unique voice!

I know! I've always thought my parents owned it, and have gone hunting for it in their library a handful of times over the years. Turns out they never had it after all, so I finally bought it myself. I like it a lot and may or may not feel another obsession coming on and Gringoire makes me laugh out loud. Especially the part with the mattress.

When you are no longer doing Unboxed, the 1939 Hunchback movie with Charles Laughton is based on the book so there's an adorable Gringoire in there to squee over.

The English version of Notre Dame de Paris is interesting also but I GREATLY prefer the French version.

The version I'm listening to is a live one, in French. Though I might have to look for the English language one, too, just for the sake of, y'know, understanding what's being said. Eh, that's overrated anyway. *grins*

I know, the chapters on architecture are a little... slow. I keep wanting to skip ahead to see when Gringoire shows up again, heh. I'm loving the book so far, though.
