Well, my Dad's last hospital visit was his last one. He passed away on Monday Aug. 17th. I had just barely left work Friday night when my Mom called to tell me they told her that he had taken a turn for the worse. I am going to post two entries...but my walking update I wanted to keep seperate for the reason you'll see. I walked both Sat. and Sunday. I could tell it had been awhile, I was really sore. Well, my Dad is back in the hospital, just one week after he was discharged. As I've stated before, he should never have come home without having home nursing help. Last weekend he couldn't move from one room to the other without sitting down to rest. So I told my Mother to call the Dr. on Monday to get him oxygen. They did get it and it seems ( Read more... )

Holy crap was it hot on Sat. We went from mid-70's or so to 89 with 100% humidity. Sunday was cooler but the humidity was in the upper 80%tile and I was soaked through after walking. Sat. Last night we had to bring my Dad in to the hospital again. He couldn't breathe, had fluid on his lungs, just like in March. Also turns out after we got some lab tests back that he'd had a heart attack. He'd had open-heart surgery about 10 years ago and no heart attacks since until they discovered a bad valve. I picked up my NEW car today. *whew* What a HUGE sigh of relief for me, especially legally. I was so scared I was going to end up in an accident and then they would find out I'm driving a "salvage" car!!! Well, my birthday's come and gone and Monday has come and gone and STILL don't have my new car. Yep...there is a glitch!! In their rush to get all the paperwork sent over on Monday, the dealer had me come in on Sat. to basically sign my old car away...the only problem is...no NEW car and they already have my title!!!
