On Cleaning

My cousin's girlfriend is coming over this weekend, so of course we spent all day yesterday frantically cleaning the house.  I have a couple strange things that I see with this situation.  First of all, my mom always has this thing, when guests come over she HAS to clean the house (granted part of her franticness for this one was my Aunt's fault :P

lol. I love this. It is so true! People always look at me funny when I actually try to CLEAN things, because it involves pulling EVERYTHING out, and then making efforts to put it back better =P

cleaning = fail

But, i think cleaning your house for guests is like dressing up for parties kind of. Its like, you do it because it makes you feel better about your self presentation or something.

Yup, you stuff it under your bed or in closets or in someone's room and clothes the door :P

Yeah, it's true. I just always find it really amusing that my mom's like I don't want to clean the house... but there's a guest coming over.

I decided that you know you're family in my house when my mom doesn't clean the house before you come over

But I think its really like the excuse thing, because she probably likes the house clean, but isn't always motivated.

hahahaha! Yeah, close the door. You can clothes it too, which is what you do when you are lazy or run out of closet space. But that's not what I meant in that sentence :P

Yeah, I think that too. It's where Kai gets it from :P
