So, here's a quote from my Okiyo-e class reading, describing the priests of the Tokugawa era:

"Most were celibate, and well known for their enjoyment of the pleasure quarters."

So, correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't celibacy mean that you aren't having sex period?

Just thought I'd point out this amusing discrepancy.  Back to reading!  :)
