I certainly hope so! I'm just afraid they're going to reappear in some godawful pregnancy storyline. Then again, this show is known for dropping plots and never picking them up again, so there's always hope.
Read your comments about Supernatural. I like it, but I'm not a totally faithful, 'Must watch!' type of fan, but do like it when I do. It can be pretty funny, but it does tend to be dark, dark, dark and sometimes that gets on my nerves. However...wait for it - James and Charisma Carpenter are going to be on an upcoming episode. Just read it on a board today: http://www.tvline.com/2011/08/supernatural-buffy-reunion-carpenter-masters/
I love Supernatural. It's been the only show on TV *period* that I could get Dave to drop WoW and come and sit with me for. I watched it before I got him to, but I really value him being into it, too. Makes me laugh, makes me cry, and the prod. co. loves former Whedon people.
And Vampire Diaries got good for the second half of 1st season and now I watch every week. There are a lot of BTVS odes/parallels, but they're doing it with much less whining and Romeo and Juliet drama. They have a bigger budget than early BTVS, obviously, but I think the writing's better. There's no "ack, the world much stay black and white or my head will explode" crap.
Oh, I don't think Supernatural and Vampire Diaries are bad shows; I just couldn't get interested in them. I have a similar apathy towards The Office, and it's critically acclaimed. I don't watch a lot of television, so if a show doesn't "hook" me pretty much right off, I usually won't tune in a second time. I totally take the blame for it, but that's just how it goes.
You know what's freaky about SPN? We get the S1 DVD set. I hadn't seen all of it, Dave hadn't seen any, and he's commenting with the same thing Dean says before Dean says it. Every. Time. I look at him and he's all "What? That's what you say there!" This goes on for multiple seasons. I'm dating a TV character. O_o Every wise-crack is from my boyfriend's brain. Freaky.
Aw, poor Chris Eccleston! :P He's not a good looking man, but there's something about him that appeals to me. I've harbored a teensy crush ever since I saw him in Jude, years ago. (He shares a brief scene with David Tennant in that movie, which is kind of hilarious in hindsight.) And while he's certainly no Ten, I think Nine is awesome in his own particular way.

Well, she does seem to have gone bye bye - along with her kinfolk.
