An attitude of gratitude

This may be the kind of blog post that just annoys people. I know when I'm plodding along in my normal rut or, worse, struggling with things that other people don't seem to be troubled with, I get downright exasperated with reading about how spectacularly someone else's life is going. This is Joe's Brother-Charlie. Your LJ blog had me at "faghag". LOL. I have never heard this phrase but it cracked me up. Then I scrolled down to this post and thought it was great. Joe, with rolling eyes, may have mentioned I do healing work with people. I'm not selling any here, I am just saying that this is the place I help people get to-a place of sincere gratitude. Just wanted to say that it is quite lovely to see someone finding it. You GO!!

Thanks so much, Charlie! I know this kind of thing seems corny - there's no laidback, cool way to be overwhelmed with gratitude. But it's where I am at the moment - really amazed that I'm living in such a bath of sunshine after so long hoping for a tiny speck of light.

Marsha,
No, not at all corny. It's where I am most of the time and where I feel everyone is headed once they allow themselves to experience it. It's more like sobering up and misery is like being drunk. Most of us spend our lives half drunk. Some us get small windows of sobriety. Others end up quitting drinking altogether. There are very "good" reasons we can't allow sunshine. But when we can and do...it's really awesome-like coming home.
