A journal post is from the "eyes" of your character. It's much like we use our own journals. They use it to talk about what went on during the day, or how they feel. Other characters comment to it, basically responding like people in your f-list respond to your own entries. This can be anything from something really supportive, or something insulting, depending on the personality of the character that's commenting to yours. The characters aren't face-to-face, but they're still chatting with each other.

A log post is different, because it is where the actual "physical" interaction occurs. Most of this is usually done over AIM or some other instant message service, though some people have been known to just post directly to the log-communities (in our case, uncertified_log). This is all usually done in third-person.
This is where the actual roleplaying comes in

Question(s): What sort of things are available in the arts and crafts room? I want to know what I am limited to. Are there such things as popsicle sticks to make popsicle houses or something? Also: what utensils are available in the cafeteria and what are they made of? I want to know how hard it will be to cut up my food. XD
/ignore the character journal, this is Spooky XPfrench_braidFebruary 5 2009, 07:42:31 UTC
Popsicle sticks are fine. The only thing we don't have are hot glue guns, sewing machines, and anything really similar to those things. We're going to say okay to having needles for sewing, but the characters get monitored by nurses if they need to use those. P: And basically, typical cafeteria utensils like plastic sporks, spoons, forks, and knives are available, along with little plastic stirring spoons for coffee and the like.
At the moment, unfortunately, that does count you out as a current member. Due to a series of changes that the new mod team is trying to make, we've postponed our opening to non-members to sometime later this month or next. If you're still interested and think you can handle a wait that long, feel free to watch the mod community (asylum_systems) for important updates on this subject.
Sorry for any confusion or inconvenience on the matter.

I've got a feeling that rules me out as a 'current member'
Is this correct?
