After Sam and Jess had...'celebrated' their new arrangement, Sam's first destination was to find Dean and tell him what was going on. The most important person to him in his life was Dean and he knew that this was going to change everything about things, even if the change wouldn't be happening immediately

Dean turned, casting a forlorn look towards the abandoned path before him. "All right," he said, unable to deny Sam even when his fingers jangled with a serious sugar o.d. If he didn't get some real food in him soon to counter all that Halloween candy, Dean might actually burst.

"But hurry, I'm about to do some major recon on the fridge."

Sam let out a soft scoff of fond disbelief because it was just so much like Dean that Sam really shouldn't have expected anything else. "Maybe we should hit up the fridge before I give you the news?" Sam offered warily. "I wouldn't want to get between you and a pie."

That sounded like it might be more important than pie. Dean looked at his brother and felt himself waver. Was anything more important than pie?

After turning an uncomfortable shade of purple, Dean released a breath and his decision both. "Okay, what's more important than pie?" he asked, figuring that if Sam even offered the opportunity to stand in the way, it must be big.

Sam cleared his throat and tried to screw up the courage to announce what he had been planning to, knowing that this was a huge life-altering and life-changing announcement. "Uh, I was actually kind of wondering how you'd maybe feel about being best man?"
