The big news.

So for those of you who haven't heard (and that would be most of you because I like to keep tight-lipped about such things) I have withdrawn from my internship. It always sounds awful when I say it, or write it because it seems like I gave up, but it really isn't as bad as it sounds, at least for me. When I decided I wanted to teach, I am ( Read more... )

It's important to remember that you can ALWAYS do whatever you want, WHENever you want. Might it be something you'll return to at another time?
It makes me sad that you withdrew, but it makes me glad that you are doing it for your own reasons. Yr a smart one and all will fall in place when the right time comes!

Thanks for your kind words, J. They are very positive and uplifting indeed. You are quite excellent. As for the question of if I will return to it at another time, right now- I doubt it; however, I do have seven more years to change my mind- as that is how long you get to get your degree once you are accepted into education. I just found that teaching was like one of those really itchy sweaters- you buy it because you think "wow, this will look good" and then after the third wear you are giving it to good will for some other poor sap because it was irritating your skin and suffocating your body (and choking you to death because it was probably a turtle neck)! haha.

It's snowing right now...but on a note about your note... stencileyes November 9 2008, 21:23:12 UTC
I have already told you my feelings on the matter, but, when it all comes down to it, I am very glad that you are happy in the now. That is what is most important. Life is short, but it's also long enough to take a step back sometimes to just live for a little while, and figure things out in your own time.
And Jared's right - You are a smart one, and simply by sharing your own personal wisdom and passions on a day to day level will inevitably have you teaching someone something along the way anyhow (with or without a teaching degree). Indeed.

I am so insanely proud of you (like a mother would be). Good good good- you were not Amber in teaching...it was all over the internet!
It's funny how sometimes despite fitting the bill in every respect (that is the "I would make a fantastic teacher bill") it just doesn't work for you. It's like dating a really sexy, brilliant, kind man who doesn't give you butterflies. You keep kissing him and going to feed the ducks and stuff but after a year all you really want is run into the arms of that guy with the big nose who works at the corner store.
Run to him, Amber- he's waiting for you so you can live in beautiful bliss.
You're a very strong woman and you made a great choice.

"don't worry about it honey, knowledge is never wasted"

All over the internet eh? haha. If only I would have read my own statements from time to time I may have noticed myself, ahah.

How did you know about the big nosed guy who works at the cornerstore? And more importantly, who clued you in that I like big noses?! haha.
Anyway I really want to thank you for this message. It means a lot coming from you, and your simile is brilliant. I think my mom told me that knowledge thing as well- and I have definitely have to agree. I just wish the knowledge I received didn't cost so much! I swear to god though Brooke, if your words make me tear up again I will have to come and kill you... haha. Happy tears are just way too splendid and I might get too used to them.

come back soon (tomorrow).

How did Brooke know about your love for Ringo? He probably is the guy who works at the cornerstore.

This is what I feel like:

1.You are one brave lady for making a decision like you did.
2. My parents told me this weekend (upon my consideration of what to do when my contract is up) that I can do anything I want. They told me my imagination is the only thing that limits me. When I thought about it, I realized they were right.

You, lady, have a grand imagination and will do wonderful things - It's important to make the choices you need to along the way. Bravo.

thanks Cat, I hope you are right.

I know that your plans can far exceed even your imagination- that is how great you are- so take that.
