It seems that I am incapable of having all aspects of my life be upbeat and positive. As soon as one thing that was stressing me out no longer becomes a problem, something else happens in another aspect of my life that gives my self-esteem a kick to the balls.

It's getting tiresome. I need a hug, dammit.

My cast is once again cohesive -- Ken has agreed to go ahead and play Moon on the condition that on the night that he can't be there I will play the character. This will be no problem for me -- by that time, I'll know the role as well as he will.

I have my cast for Inspector Hound! Hurray!

I lost one of my lead actors already. Ken had to drop out due to a scheduling conflict. And I found out after I'd called everyone who auditioned to tell them they either got or didn't get a role.

Now I've got to come up with someone else -- and it's got to be someone who can really act.

Auditions for "The Real Inspector Hound" turned up a first for me -- I had more than enough men audition and hardly any women. Three roles and both women who showed up were really only appropriate for one of them.

It's almost always, inevitably, the opposite at MCT -- more than enough women and hardly any men.

Dammit.
