I just had my sister on the phone. It seems the old girl was found slumped in a chair at the nursing home, and not looking at all well, so she's off to hospital again. We don't know which hospital yet, and of course they won't be doing any tests or whatever tonight. I'll be kept informed, of course - but I wonder if I need to make arrangements to ( Read more... )

I hope it all works out alright and that you dont have any trouble getting the time off work.

Job was a moaner. *giggles*

It's just gone past 6am here. There were more phone calls before I went to bed last night; the old girl was unconscious at last report, and has probably had a major stroke. There was a distinct possibility that she woldn't make it through the night. (Thanks to 'Dead Ringers', I can't help hearing that last phrase in Rolf Harris' voice.)

Anyway. No phone calls this morning, so far. Not a whole lot of sleep last night either. One way or the other, I suspect that I'll be travelling within the next few days.

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear this.

Of course, I agree with everyone else about the bosses (although I sometimes feel some trepidation regarding time off, it sounds like you've got your priorities in order... and some of those bosses of yours sound like realy pricks to begin with). Let them go scratch.

You, your mom and sister, and your gram, are in my thoughts.

As a footnote, I should add how glad I am that I came to LJ; apart from anything else, it's more stable than the other place.
