Finally, I've mustered sufficient energy to write my first full entry here, but there's not much for me to put in it. As usual, now that I've waited for my days off w*rk to find the time to think about what to write, I've found myself so relaxed that I don't have a lot to say. I've been in a vague and scattered mood ever since I decided to limit my ( Read more... )

I have no idea. Do you often leave hot beverages lying about the place, unattended?

Happy Easter! Hope you´ll find yourself at home here, but I miss you...

I tried to hang up the ducks, but they kept wriggling and squirming. I might take them by surprise later.

Thanks for dropping by; you're welcome any time.

I used to get people like you in my bookshop all the time. We did a roaring trade in terracotta chickens. Ah, those were the days!

I don't know if you know this yet, so I'll tell you: the interests lists are a navigation tool for lurkers. Clicking on one of the words in the list will bring up all the people and communities on LJ who share that interest. (This might affect what you decide to put in your own list.)

Snaily, I'm concentrating on putting odd things in my interests list, to disconcert people. I hope it works. I'll be doing some lurking of my own later, once I've settled in properly. But the most important thing is - where were your terracotta chickens made?

I just found this: http://www.livejournal.com/interests.bml?int=solitude

Is it just me, or are there 210 counterintuitive things on there?

If you put odd things on your interests lists, you could be approached by all kinds of odd people. Sounds fun to me.

Okay, they weren't exactly terracotta chickens; they were ceramic pigs. But it's all the same when it gets to Fishguard, as they say.

Counterintuitive: depends on whether or not you consider Internetting to be a solitary act. :-) Did you scroll down far enough to see the individuals? One of them has a Flying Spaghetti Monster avatar. I liked that!

How many lurkers does it take to change a website? zendevil April 16 2006, 19:52:58 UTC
I have lots & lots of wooden & wicker chickens if anyones interested. they are in fetching shades of pink & blue & came all the way from Africa. they are universally loathed by everybody who has ever seen them (except me, obvously)

Hiya Lil! Plucked up courage to join yet? We are allowed to say naughty words on here you know, even *giggle* & *behave*

Hmm, now who are these others? hootoo exiles too?

Hiya Unc, don't be confused by the fact that I deleted the "Introduce Yourself" journal. The future date was screwing up my journal entries.
