i see them a lot. the colorpack III was for free and picked up a colorpack IV for $5.00 it is like new and i found out why. the lens was out of sinc with the distance meter ring and i have since found an easy way to recalibrate the lens. i will be putting together the procedure for recalibration. in the process i found that it can be modified to take closeups down to about 10 inches.

i have an easier method that you might be interested in. it does not disable the lens once removed, so you can convert it back if needed. I just need time to post it.

Have you gotten around to posting this process yet? “i will be putting together the procedure for recalibration. in the process i found that it can be modified to take close ups down to about 10 inches.”
I am have the same calibration issue, would like to be able to take focus down to 10inches.
