You and me both, Shoppie. We kept it quiet for the first couple of months so a few people have said: Jesus! Already?! Or words to that effect. The hour approaches...
smoking cigars in a waiting room - still more or less acceptable in our fathers' day but no more, alas. I'd have ciggies, joints and crackpipe going if twas permissible. No but really, I wouldn't miss the birth for anything. It will, I think, be a singular experience. Ta once more for the fine Flann link - the excerpt makes me want to pick up that book again. Yes, it's all these things but above all, terribly funny. I saw Jim Norton on stage in London's west end - my one and only such theatre-going adventure - about 8 years ago, in a pretty good play called The Weir, i think. He has the actorly voice of all actorly voices. His murmur filled the auditorium. I think it would be ace hearing him read F'OB.
