We have had bad ones since then, but not like that.
What worries me now is all the 80 ft to 100 ft tall pine trees that have grown since that time.
As they have fairly shallow root systems another MAJOR hurricane could topple them.
There's a large one on the corner of our property, and another across the street.
We will probably loose power - that's almost a given with overhead lines and trees.
We have municipal water and gas, so we are OK there. The biggest problem will be the freezer and refrigerator.
Overall storms don't bother me. I get everything charged up ahead of time, and I have a pile of magazines and books to get through.
I can work without a 'net if I have to.

I know Charley, Jean and Frances didn't faze me. Not after a few active seasons where the storms would only pass by.
