Heh, I forgot I put that on the tile. :-)

Yeah, basically summer after my sophomore year I was work week chair and I decided I was going to replace the vinyl floor with strip oak. Along the way we were debating whether or not to replace the walls, too. They had ugly fake wook panelling on the lower third of the wall. We discovered real wood panelling under it for 3/4 of the walls - what's now the dining room was once two rooms, a dining room and a pantry, hence the slightly odd shape. Finally, I picked up a small sledge hammer and punched holes in all the walls. Decision made.

For much of the summer I spent 8 hours at my UROP, then another 4-6 in the dining room. Hence the motto. When it was all done we celebrated with a trip to Serendipity. Ah I miss Serendipity.

Don't tempt me...
I'd really like to rip out the kitchen.
But I have to keep telling myself we won't be living here long enough to make it worth our while.
