My boss brought me a vase full of flowers for my birthday. And a card. Have I said lately how much I love this company? *squeak!* I have the icky-gross-bleah contract review meeting (aigh) from nine to eleven *eyeroll*, then another one from 11 to 11:30 which will be as frustrating, but in another way, then lunch with the boss, then she’s letting me cut out early (okay, at forty hours, but still free afternoon!) so I’m swinging up to Borders to get our numbered armbands for our place in line for tonight, then I’m going to go home and be alone for a couple of blissful hours (might dye my hair. My roots are glowing white) then Barb comes over for dinner and I put the boy to bed and we go off to Borders again.

After so many years of my birthday being a card from Alissa and a quiet dinner with the boys, I’m feeling quite celebrated. Fussed over, even. *squeak!!* Next year will be back to normal.

When are you coming over to check out the new toys?
