I like that (sounds like you made Noel into a younger artist). Personally, I would cut out some of the dialogue near the end, like so:

CARLOS
Well, that would be no good.

HESTER (No pause)
Why blue?

CARLOS
I dunno. I like blue.

HESTER
Fuck that shit. You had to have a reason.

CARLOS
Maybe, but I don't know what it is.

HESTER
Come on, why'd you paint her blue?

I really liked the "maybe she is happy because she is about to get laid" beat, sort of reminds me of myself.
