You admit that you "don't understand this bill," so before you completely turn against the government and this health care law, I suggest taking action by first educating yourself and reading up on what this law actually means. It is late and I decided to get on livejournal for the first time in forever because I am procrastinating from studying for an econ test that I have tomorrow. I really wanted to write a longer response but I don't have the time nor energy right now. But seriously, a lot of what you use for support in your arguments is just completely ignorant and false. Look at non-partisan news sources to read up on the health care stuff and then make judgments. And also, this is what the MAJORITY of the people wanted, and unfortunately, living in America, we base our laws on majority rule. And I am not arguing this is the most effective method either, as seen by history (in the past racial minorities discrimination, and more recently LGBTQ issues ( ... )

Maybe I should've been more clear. I understand the bill, I don't understand how it passed. My bad for wording it wrong. Believe me I understand it, and no I don't agree with it. So, it's ignorant and false to question what is going to happen with my grandparents because they are allergic to generic drugs? I have read up on the bill from multiple sources, and I have also looked at multiple points of views and tried to see it from the opposite side, and I can't. I've talked to doctors, and pharmacists who are more directly affected by this than me considering this is along their line of work. Thankfully this bill won't directly affect me for quite sometime, considering I'm petrified of doctors to begin with.

I agree with health care reform, but this is not how I wanted it. I agree that our health care system is messed up beyond belief and that something needs to be done about it, but this is not it.

I hope you're doing well also, and school is going well. However, considering we've hardly been friends for years now, I doubt it.

First of all, your claim that your grandparents are allergic to generic drugs may be legitimate, but I find it hard to believe. Firstly, the same active ingredient must be used in both name-brand and generic drugs and secondly, the chances of both grandparents being allergic is HIGHLY unlikely (http://bipolar.about.com/od/medications/a/genericdrugs.htm). Regardless, I get your point and I think Kim and Devon outlined a solution (which happens to be part of the reform bill) quite well. They can keep their current health care coverage no problem and wont have to take generic drugs at all ( ... )

So this is a response from Kim & Devon. If you can disprove anything we say, we will gladly admit our mistake. (FoxNews is not a legit source ( ... )

"Kim’s dead had cancer" = Kim's DAD had cancer.... haha

AND

"Everyone knows the bill is far from perfect, but it does considerably more harm than good." Supposed to say "... but it does considerably more good than harm."
