Left and leaving
In seven and a half hours, my middle brother is taking a cab to the bus station. He's going to Fleming College of Art and Design to study glassblowing, and he'll be gone three and a half months, maybe more if he decides not to come back to Winnipeg right away.
I'm going to miss him a lot. -
Good riddance.
Club Desire is closing today. They're citing a downturn in business and changes to the liquor laws, but the reasons aren't the point. See, Desire was started by three straight people who wanted to open a gay bar. I have some problems with this that I can't quite articulate, but it makes me feel icky ( Read more... ) -

I have no idea how my eyes managed to transmogrify The Red Ape into The Kelp Age just now; it wasn't even an easily-misread font. There's one YA novel at my branch library whose title is set in such a wretched typeface that I consistently misread it as Dwarfism. (Closer inspection reveals that is in fact called Darkfusion.
