You’re safe in Cookie’s hands.” He reaches into her and takes out her heart, running a finger along the veins and laughing. “You see it?” he asks, handing it to her, “That’s yours. You see how red it is? Don’t forget that colour, Eff. Don’t you forget it. You’re fucking beautiful.”

You get it. This whole fic is just so fucking good and honest and I don't understand why you got it but the writers didn't. Or maybe they did but they wrote themselves into a corner they couldn't get out of with F/E.

Anyway, this redeems it all. Absolutely stunning, gorgeous, flawless, amazing, touching, etc. These two make me into such a sap.

I'm so terribly glad you decided to write a Cook/Effy, Freddie/Effy fic. :)

Sometimes you need to take a break from your own work I suppose. But I agree, sometimes I don't think they realize just how great Ceffy would be. I think it's just because they hadn't originally intended to make Cook so three-dimensional, he was just going to be the loose cannon who didn't learn from his ways the way Tony did. It just worked out that way.

I think you characterized both relationships perfectly. I loved how you wrote about Freddie wanting to show his love and Cook wanting to feel his love.

This is so, so wonderful! The relationships were described perfectly. I loved the parallelism in the paragraph about Cook chasing her because it's so true.

I want this fic to be the finale. Really excellent job :)
